I think its a good thing. Imagine if we have a really bad winter for Jan & Feb where we only play 1/2 games... We would, as would many other clubs have a massive backlog of fixtures. NPL are also good in the fact that any long distance away games are more or less always on a Saturday. Don't think you would get that in the Southern.Noggin wrote:Do you see the League doing the re-arrangment as a good thing, a bad thing or indifferent? The feedback I have heard is that the Northern is generally better organised than the Southern

I agree that overall the Northern League are much better regarding fixture allocation although last season was a sobering lesson for anyone who arranges weekends away in advance
Particularly they seem to provide more midweek games earlier in the season and leave open Saturdays in February & March to help with rearrangements.
My recollection of the Southern is that the majority of long away trips were originally on Saturdays but could end up as midweek travel as there wasn't a similar provision in February & March. It taught you time management at work though for some enjoyable midweek south coast trips and late night returns.....police stop top of M40 still haunts me.

Just a bit of a stat...
We've scored 29 league goals in 14 games. Ben has 12 of those. Meaning that 17 goals have been scored by others in those games.
Not sure what my point is, just saying really!

In the cup games Ben has scored 9 and the other Yeltz players have scored scored 6, so overall he leads 22- 21RaidenYeltz wrote:We've scored 29 league goals in 14 games. Ben has 12 of those. Meaning that 17 goals have been scored by others in those games.

Let's hope they overtake him and give him some catching up to do by the time he comes back.
