Scoring Goalies

Post by Laurel Lane Lamper » 03 Nov 2013, 12:10

It's not only in the Premiership that it happens, ex-Yeltz goalie Chris Sanna got on the scoresheet yesterday

http://www.colwynbayfc.co.uk/2013/11/ba ... eague-win/

Chris was with us briefly 5 seasons ago.

Anyone remember when we were at Clevedon a few seasons ago when the goalie's (James Dormand?) kick got caught in the wind and was blown back over the goal line?

Have we ever had a goal from a Halesowen keeper?

I can remember Timmy Clarke going up for a few corners and I think Jake The Peg (Tony Rowe) did it a few times as well but I don't remember anyone ever scoring.

I don't remember a goal from our goalie and still don't remember one after quick look at http://ht-fc.com/history/ex-yeltz-players.html

Just wonder if one of our penalty shoot outs might include one?

I can't think of one either. Did Caskey play in goal for a match somewhere during the dark days? And Malcolm used to go between the sticks when required but I'm stretching the rules...

By the way, our erstwhile Physio, Pete Denham (Chris Sanna scored against the Moors), tells me Chris Sanna was Jay Denny's Best Man.

Malcom went in goal one night down at Cheltenham and there was an advertising board for Hazlewoods behind his goal. My head's full of useless rubbish ;D

Darren certainly went in goal on at least two occasions (memorably saving a penalty with his first touch) but having checked, I can't see an example of him scoring in a game where he later went into goal

Didn't he later play as goalie for Ilkeston for a season?
