@worksoptownfc: GOAL: a shocker blunder by Sam Brooks who's header back to the keeper goes straight past him and Mettam slots home with ease (35) 1-0

No match comments? 5 hours since it ended and nobody has praised the lads on probably the best performance under the new boss. Again though we have to bemoan a catastrophic defensive blunder that ultimately cost us. On the upside we created many chances and thier keeper was magnificent. If we can keep THIS settled side i feel we can keep progressing and give ourselves half a chance in this division. Bad luck today lads.

Good point made by Andy, I also felt that this was our best performance under the new regime so far. We looked like we had a goal in us throughout and apart from a keeper who had a blinder and an unfortunate error for their goal, we might have been in the hat.

Disappointed in Worksop, thought they'd be stronger than they were. I'd rate Coalville or Sheffield as better than them at the Grove this season.

Special mention for Winsper, who I thought looks much better at the back and did well today. Also thought the midfield were good today. Sometimes a game like today's raises players games. If we can keep the side relatively settled (obviously we're losing Milligan for his red last week) and play in the way we did today, then getting something at King's Lynn might be on.

In full agreement with the last two posts, from Andy and CRH Yeltz.

The travelling support seemed to lose a little of their vocal confidence when they failed to score in the opening 15 minutes, or so. We were equal to the task and at times we gave their defence a scare with the pace of Ben and Jean- Michel.
The horror mess-up turned the game and apart from the last 10 minutes I felt that Worksop kept us at bay – although we never stopped trying for an equalizer.
A 100% improvement on the last two league games. If the attitude shown on Saturday is carried forward we should stem the tide of poor results. One thing puzzles me. Why, when we were 1 down did we replace one defender with another when we had a striker (Dan Evans) on the bench?
A good game – it just didn’t go our way.
