Re: Newcastle Town Updates
The lack of a thread on here until after the match has ended must show the apathy of the attendees.
My phone is just that no internet sorry folks.
Not sure how we shaded it.
We had one shot on target second half.
The tatic of the day a very hot day was to leave our one substitution until 6 minutes from the end which was really going to give Evans chance to change the game. They had already put three fresh pairs of legs on.
How about giving Evans, Oatley and Warren Brooks 20 to 30 mins to work on the opposition defense?
A tip on how to stretch the budget name 5 subs not at the ground put cardboard cutouts in the dugout and then you won't have to pay anyone. Simples!

I am surprised you did not include our manager in your cardboard cutout suggestion.

Re: Newcastle Town Updates
good game today? yes great, swapped a fa cup match (with 350+ supporters) for a 0-0 HOME result (and my god, it felt like 0-0!) this is what we need to bring in extra income, supporters AND sponsors, let the other teams worry about cup runs. we can just draw against the poor teams and lose to the better teams, 1 point every other match at home is fine (it must be other wise we`d have made changes 2nd half when it was obvious nothing was happening)
so remember when we lose its.. `shouldnt have been a penalty/we should have had a penalty/if ben had scored those 7 half chances/poor referee/but mainly..all together now...ITS THE BUDGET`
for christ sake..lets have some entertainment!!!
(sorry if i sound bitter, but ive got several thousand reasons to be bitter!)

Re: Newcastle Town Updates
Although we should be grateful of having a club at present thanks to Steve our sponsors and the many volunteers we just seem to be standing still at the moment - some will be happy with this.
My concerns are:
What happens if Steve decides to quit? - too much control can be a bad thing and I know we have the trust as a supposed back up but at what level of football would that be?
If our main sponsor pulls out at the end of the season we will find it very difficult to attract replacement finance with the set up we currently have.
We are too reliant on Ben Haseley's goals - if he was to be injured what then?
I guess we have made a recent signing to address this.
Our defence is the main issue which Shaun knows but we have a budget to adhere to.
Shaun has put together his team under the supposed budget constraints that he has and we still do not be able to gel as a team - how is it teams at the level of say Dudley Town can play together with no budget?
I doubt Steve will increase the budget so I guess he is saying I am happy with a mid table finish or should he realize that the other option is to replace the manager which many fans have lost faith in.
I know Shaun has seen us through the recent bad times but many fans now feel we now need a change for a number of reasons which I will not go into now as these have been well documented previously. The concensus now seems to be : thanks Shaun you have taken us as far as you can but it is time to move on.
I know we have not had a bad start but it is the tactical unawareness, the lack of discipline etc etc that many are not happy with.
Maybe for Steve it is the fact that Shaun is a cheap option that he is willing to stand by him ( I hope not as this would be insulting) but to move this club forward and attract the fans and their income back the situation now needs to seriously considered by the owner.

Re: Newcastle Town Updates
I for one have had to miss out on all of the September games due to work commitments so although I sound hypocritical, bear with me... the football isn't dazzling, we would have took a 0-0 draw after the shocking Dudley defeat and from what I can gather Newcastle Town aren't exactly a rubbish side.
Concentrate on the league, enjoy the sunshine and most importantly, remember why you support The Yeltz and where your allegiance lies, rather than moaning about the manager, gaffer, budget, etc.
We've ALL done well thus far, let's not goo back'erds and undo all the hard work.
Just read the slogan on the bottom of them fancy new matchday posters for Gawd's sake

Neither do i need to hide on here behind a made up name.
I would love to say we played well, were unlucky when the true fact is the manager's tatics are lacking.
Your such an expert tell me why we made one change when it was too late to change the game.
