Royston Vasey
So Im staying about half hour away from our hosts for tomorrows game, tonight.
Suffice to say Storm Big Bertha has dumped a load in this part of the world. I dont think Royston is a plastic pitch, but free flowing football is going to be very difficult tomorrow, IF its playable.

Says 80% chance of rain all time from now to kick off so will be very heavy pitch.
Not really conducive to our style of playing

Having been down that neck of the world since last night, Im not surprised. It literally poured it down non stop.. That said, I think it should have been called mich sooner than 20 minutes to go. In fairness Royston have refunded immediately, but still a long day for those who travelled today.

Re: Royston Vasey
Bit of perspective, it was dry most of the night down that way and at 12pm their pitch was playable. It hammered it down for a good 90 mins if not longer and when people were coming in there were 1 or 2 patches where the ball wasn't moving BUT 95% of the pitch was fine (you could see the players hitting balls long and bouncing rolling etc). Referee and his tribe have a lot to answer for but imagine it's the health and safety police at work from above. Why he couldn't wait till 3pm or even start the game then abandon it is beyond common sense. I've answered my own question really haven't I?.........
