That’s a big call. Better than Tim Clarke, Alan Pemberton, Nick Bussey, Paul Evans, Phil Caldicott…
But I would say that it’s right.

I’d guess that if he was a few inches taller, he’d have gone on, quite considerably.
Add in the deserved (if still slightly odd) Club Captain role and the traditional keeper yampiness, and his status is pretty much nailed on.
Apparently that was what he was told at Crewe. No doubt he's a bloody good keeper though. I always found it crazy Danny never went pro as it goes, and for all there were extenuating circumstances (like him not wanting to!), dear lord, he was something else!

You are correct about him not wanting to turn pro, he could have easily. Just a shame Worcester came sniffing when they were big side. Their fans worshipped him too. Great keeper.

Mr Westy , I do not think that a brummie should be speaking to you like that and may I suggest that you strip him of some Georges as punishment for his disrespect.
As a V***a fan you should know that trophies won many millennia ago cannot be taken away. My awards are obviously more recent but so are dinosaurs. Westy may feel it pertinent to award me another one for this observation. Who knows?
As the self-appointed sole arbiter of the GAS (George Award Scheme), I would correct your incorrectness Brother Avery and confirm that they CAN be deducted. But only by me.

I'm thinking of deducting a George from both of you actiually for ungentlemany conduct. So play nicely. Especially you Kenneth. ;D ;D

That would put Ken on -1. A kind of an antigeorge.🤔 or
quantum george. Maybe you could just award him a potato🥔

If it was a quantum george it would not have a single state of George-ness, it could be anywhere between 0 Georges and -1 Georges. Given middle age (he is now 64) does anyone know if the real George Berry is suffering from male pattern baldness? Google images suggests this is the case.

Does this mean that all previously awarded Georges are now void?
