Any plans for a pitch inspection ?

Started to rain here. With heavy rain due at 16:00, according to the Met Office (when have they ever been wrong!). I'd have thought any inspection will be done shortly to potentially avoid wasting a Yaxley journey.

Clubs just tweeted wishing the away team and fans a safe journey so don’t look like they are expecting any issues

I know they said yesterday it should be on, but it would be good anyway to communicate that it's definitely on via the forum and on social media as some casual support may be deterred or assume there is no game.

I live about 400m from the Grove and it has intermittently hammered it down all day, so fair to assume people will think it unlikely to be on.

Went up to Hagley Cricket Club earlier which was under water on Sunday and you could have played football on the outfield now, so i can’t see why we wouldn’t be ok barring another monsoon, but agreed- wouldn’t hurt to confirm!

Seems like worst of rain will be passed by 6pm. Id have guessed this wind the last couple of days will have helped considerably in drying the pitch out.

Yaxley have scored at almost 2 goals per game this season so hopefully may come out and try to play some attacking stuff. If so should have a good game to look forward to

Hopefully they’ll have the same keeper that time-wasted non-stop at their place only for us to score last minute! And their very rodent-like midfielder who did the same.

I’ve become a smidgen preoccupied with the weather lately- choosing to have your house reroofed during two epic storms will do that to someone!

(Incidentally was at Redditch away last year which was as bad as it gets, so better weather probably more apt!)
