Re: Thame United
Suits me! Full of snot. Feeling like s%$t. Was coming over tonight but failed a late fitness test
Currently a doubt for Saturday
I'll have to play on through the pain barrier
Fixture congestion is nothing to my current respiratory congestion
Just how many football related cliches can I fit into one post?
And how many more imogie thingys too?

Shouldn't think Tame will too impressed with having travelled for nothing. Will we have to pay their expenses?

Ditto. May as well stay in here for the half time pint, and the full time beers, too.lutleyyeltz wrote: ↑10 Dec 2019, 20:14Me neither!andy wrote: ↑10 Dec 2019, 20:01You and me both! Re: Thame United
Reading the Thame Twitter account, it appears they wouldn't have reached the Grove until 20:10, earliest - Due to motorway accidents causing heavy delays.
I would think that we have done them a favour, by calling off the match, due to punishments for not turning up to a fixture, such as forfeiting the match or heavy fines! (I believe this to be the case, I stand to be corrected, though).
I'm assuming there was a gentleman's agreement between the two clubs to agree to postpone the match, I appreciate the rain was heavy, but our pitch is excellent, so despite the heavy rain, I'm surprised it was deemed un playable. I like to think the Yeltz were kind enough to allow the match to be postponed, allowing Thame to escape punishment.
Just a theory...
Note. This theory is based on the excellent pitch we now have
