A Grove classic. One of those games you’ll remember for years to come. A late winner in front of The Shed - perfect!

No easy games in the next round. Only three teams from Step 8 left in and the other two will be South. Stour are a round behind us and have to face South Shields, so they’ll do well to progress.

Home tie against a Conference team would be absolutely wonderful.
Honestly, naively, possibly arrogantly, I do NOT fear anyone.

Let it be Stour at home, and let them be humbled and shocked, when Macca (a player they hounded out and didn't rate) heads home off his massive nut, in the 73rd minute.

So. Last time we beat a team from 2 levels above us? Unless I'm overlooking an obvious one here, I'm stumped.
One of my earliest memories there maybe more

Great words from the then Burton manager
THE Neil Warnock??? And what a team that was too. If we can keep the current crop long enough, theyll be as revered as that team was.

Was it when we beat telford 4-2 in the cup or gainsborough 3-2 in the cup for beating teams 2 leagues above us?

What an unbelievable result!! To a man I thought we were excellent. Hard to pick out a man of the match - I know Rob Evans was the official one but could have been anyone else.

You couldn’t tell there were two leagues between the two teams as we were the better team and felt we dominated the second half.

The atmosphere in then Shed was buzzing when we scored and at the end. A fantastic performance and result and like has been said there’s just such a feel good factor and confidence now you feel on our day we can beat anyone.

I looked at both of those but don't think so. I may be wrong. The one I did think was a possibility was the Kings Lynn one from the early 80s but wasn't sure what league they were then in.

Genuine question here, and I may get shot down...

I'm struggling to think of a better and more import win than this, since the small matter of Belper away.

Is that as ridiculous as it sounds?

Yep, SLP against our Banks's League. 6-0 to us. 1983
Any since though?

Thanks andy for your reply back. Also does anybody know how much money we have won from our cup runs this season in both fa cup and trophy?

My estimation is somewhere around £K30.
