Great win !

Can't remember when we last made first round of the Trophy
Last time was when we lost at Gateshead in 2014-15 (discussed in another thread a couple of weeks ago], but that does seem a lifetime ago!

Full details of how we’ve done over the years at http://www.fchd.info/HALESOWT.HTM - generally not great in the Trophy. Excited!
At least we're doing better than we did in the early days now. I remember after we got promoted from the Banks's and rejoined the Trophy we went SIX years without a single victory. The following year we finally made it past the opening round with a bye! ;D
And bizarrely in every one of those years of failure we reached the 1st round of the FA Cup each time!

PS that football club history database that Poll has referenced for that info is immense. How the guy who runs it puts that together I'll never know.

I thought we dominated that second half. Today wasn't just a snatch and grab, it was a damn good team - who are well managed, well organised, and worked harder than their opposition - that deserved their win.

This is bloody good Yeltz side, and I feel privileged to witness it first hand. They really are a joy to watch. Character wise, and skill wise. I really enjoy watching them!

So proud to be an Halesowen Town fan, which I've not felt for over 4/5 years now. The atmosphere, again, was excellent, players, management, coaches, club officials, socialising with fans, and a great atmosphere in the Yeltz Bar. Thank you guys. Let's keep this going.

So. Last time we beat a team from 2 levels above us? Unless I'm overlooking an obvious one here, I'm stumped.

Don't cop out. We beat Wolves in 2014. 2-1. I'm sure Tonks scored.

Does anyone know if the draw is still north/south or an open draw?
Last year was north/south second round a national draw.
Cheers Seamus.

Yeah I'd already got that one, and 7 past the V*lla. But seriously though?

A Grove classic. One of those games you’ll remember for years to come. A late winner in front of The Shed - perfect!

No easy games in the next round. Only three teams from Step 8 left in and the other two will be South. Stour are a round behind us and have to face South Shields, so they’ll do well to progress.

Home tie against a Conference team would be absolutely wonderful.
