Well we gave it a go. Nuneaton were no where near as good as I expected but just had that bit more up front than we did. Bad luck lads.

The next round is scheduled for Oct 10th, Buxton won their FA Cup tie today and so our away league match against them will be postponed.

A very good effort again, we certainly weren't overawed, indeed we looked the better side in the opening 15 minutes of the second half.I thought the back three were excellent yet again. I wonder if things would have been different if Greg Pearson's shot had gone in instead of hitting the post with the score at 0-0.

No shame to lose today, in a game that might have had a very different outcome had the width of a post not worked in our favour. I feel a bit sorry for our lads as although we maybe weren't deserved winners, we certainly weren't two goals worse than our full time opponents. Joe Hull must be knackered tonight carrying that useless lump Marlon Harewood around in his back pocket. Whatever Nuneaton are paying him it's too much. On today's performance he's robbing a living.
I'm sure a tough game today will put us in good stead on Tuesday for another tough game at Salford.

Their higher level just told and they probably train more, though I'd be amazed if they are full time. They weren't full time in the Conference premier so can't imagine they'd have gone full time after being relegated last season.
