Well after the Sutton and Darlington debacles I didn't see us winning 1 or 2 let alone 4 in a row so it's probably a Paddy Ashdown 'eat my hat' moment. Let's keep it going!

Another very good result and up to 9th in the table. It was an even game, to be truthful, and Platty did bail us out a few times. But the front line is looking far more fluid. Reffell is a touch of class and we really need to keep him for as long as possible. Sets us up perfectly for Saturday and a (hopefully) exciting cup tie.

Great result against a quick, good footballing side. For me the whole display was built on a solid defense and I don't think Marine would have broke it down if we'd played till Christmas. How Asa wasn't given man of the match is beyond belief, he was absolutely magnificent. Well done lads.

Great comments Andy, i would add that Joe Hull was superb as well. Apart from Platty making a brilliant point blank save in the opening seconds, Marine never really looked like scoring. A really good all round team display. I think we need to wrap Asa and Westy in cotton wool as they make a huge difference to this team

A great win against a very, very decent Marine side. They certainly came out of the traps quickly and I thought their passing, movement and energy was excellent. After an hour or so I expected them to tire a little but they didn't. Defensively I thought we were excellent, Asa and Joe I thought were outstanding with Elvins looking composed alongside them. Connolly again impressed. Whilst we didn't create too many chances I thought Greg Pearson had a good game tonight, his hold up play at times was really good.
An all round good team performance, with each and every player playing their part in a good team performance. This certainly felt more like the Halesowen we know where the team ethic seemed to be coming through.

Spongeyeltz, your comments about Asa and Westy are spot on. I cant imagine Asa wrapped in cotton wool though, he really is as tough as they get. ;D His performance last night was a master class in defending and in his 50/50 challenges the forwards came off worse every time. Outstanding.
