1-0 up, og by someone who Richard Nevin seems to say was called Jordan Fagbowl.
Is that another word for an ashtray?

Full time Halesowen Town 1 Colwyn Bay 0. No idea how. It was even less pretty than last season

If I said it was thrilling I'd be lying still I'm delighted with a scrappy 1-0 win to start the season.

We huffed and puffed a little at times and held firm for a win. Did we deserve it? - Not in my opinion I thought Colwyn Bay did more than enough to get a point - however we'll probably play better and get nothing at some point this season.
I guess the strength of any team is what is not on the pitch, with Stan, Singh-Mandair and Charlton not even on the bench we do have strength in depth and options to change things around. Interesting to see Mickleover drew away at Ashton today - a great result. We'll do well to get a win there on Tuesday.
Clearly a better result than performance but it's three points on the board so a great start!

Great result, get in! Maybe could have been a very different afternoon if not for a shade of luck here and there, but take nothing away from the lads as that was a good performance on the whole.

One small note was that we saw the game out well and showed plenty of common sense in the latter stages. Something that we didn't do so well at the start of last season!

A nod to Sarge for the penalty save and also Brags who shows so much passion and drive- exactly what you want to see as a fan.

Great result to start the season with. That aside the performance was poor at best and Colwyn Bay were no better. Sarge MOM with penalty save and massive assist for goal, Brags played well and the rest tried hard. Unfortunately that will not be enough and a massive improvement will be needed. If indeed that is possible. 3 points though. Onwards.
