A few things, if we we're paying £4-£5 to get in, you'd be seeing players wearing our shirt who wouldn't be good enough as the budget available to JH would be significantly lower.Yeltz27 wrote:In what I do, it is an unwritten rule that you never criticise your audience. Especially if they have paid to come and watch you perform. Ten pounds is quite a lot of money still to watch football. If we were paying 4 or 5 pounds to watch these games then I feel you might have a point.
It is all to do with perspective like the fitness thing. If you were in my profession you would see what I am saying about social media in a very different way to just saying people have a right of reply. The manager does have the local media etc to express his opinion. I didn't actually post my view on twitter as I didn't want it there. It is not for somebody else to put it there is it?
And to suggest in any way that the manager could be tweeting it to say he agrees with me is a little ridiculous, especially when the second sentence says that the tactics baffle me. Is it really likely he would re tweet that if he agreed with it?
I, like everybody else want the team to be successful but at the moment there are things I feel could be improved. Keep saying it will all turn round and it will come good, is, in my opinion, a little hopeful unless one or two things are altered. No I don't know about the inner workings of the club but I pay to go to the games and am entitled to my opinion. If people disagree with me then that is ok but I don't think what I have said over the last couple of weeks is as outrageous or as far from the truth as many believe. If I am wrong, we will see and I will happily say I am wrong. Time will tell
Of course we all want the team to be successful, yes improvements are needed for us to move further forward, JH has tweeked the formation, juggled one or two players around in recent weeks and Saturday was our first defeat in 6 games against a team who will be there or thereabouts when the promotion race hots up. To make the improvements required we will need better players, I agree but as mentioned elsewhere in this thread give me a Tom Tonks who'll run his heart out for the club, has loyalty to the manager and club than a Peter Till who'll go elsewhere for a few more quid at the first opportunity they can. I've every faith that John Hill, Trev Burroughs, Rich Upton, Dan Watson and Kev Barry (when he's back in a couple of weeks) are doing everything they can to help us improve but it isn't as simple as it sounds to bring in a player who will fit in with what JH and the coaching team want.
Yes, you do have an opinion and of course you're entitled to it, I just think you need to think back to where this team was 2 years ago, and where it is now. We've made a massive amount of progress in that time and whilst our progress now may seem slow we're in a bigger pond with bigger fish this season. I'm confident JH is looking at the long term development of this club (Remember he was at Tipton for 10 years) and trying to run before you crawl will only mean you'll end up stumbling over.
