Re: Kings Lynn Home
Absolutely brilliant and a battling point. This team will not lie down and give in. It is such a great thing to see, deserved or not.
Lait was fantastic all night. Wants the ball when no one else does. The only player who played with positivity and looked to beat a man. It didn't always come off, but what I love is the fact he gets his head up every time.
Great goal and a deserving goal scorer.
All in all a great point against a good if not Un sporting team.
Could have been more...Sarge's 'Keeping AND kicking needs to be addressed.

Re: Kings Lynn Home
Well feel free to shoot me down here but I thought the first half performance was pretty woeful to be honest and we could count ourselves lucky that we were only 1 down at half time. They were far more organised than us all over the park and we could barely pick out two passes together and we looked very shaky at the back, in particular in the goalkeeping department. Yes they were a decent side but think we are better than that!
Second half was a much improved performance, and whilst I think overall we were again, just like in the Nantwich game a few weeks back, a touch fortunate in rescuing a point, you cannot fault the effort and 'never say die attitude' of these players to keep on going till the end. We just seem to love to draw 1-1! How many times is that now that's happened this season already?!
Agree that Lait was man of the match, he was fantastic and his goal was just deserved for his efforts.
So onto Guiseley away next in the FA Cup on Saturday, gonna need a big performance to get a result there, but if we continue to show the same desire and commitment that we have done so far this season then you never know! Besides, it's the FA Cup, anything can happen!
I will be there, looking forward to it, weekend in Bradford here I come!!
Up the Yeltz!

Well again at the risk of being controversial, I agree with you, we were generally outplayed and if we do have a goalkeeping coach he needs to sort some things out.

Re: Kings Lynn Home
Game of two halves definitely and in the first they played so fast we almost had to ask if we could have our ball back?! Awful kicking from our keeper all night and lucky to be only 1 down at half time. Amazed that he then gets to take some free kicks 2nd half. Positively great battle 2nd half and much improved performance and we could almost have got 3 points. Got to stay in it to win it and with this team we generally do, so a fast and enjoyable chilly draw.

King's Lynn view,

In my opinion we did well against a team very well organised and hard working! Saying that, we came out second half and played a lot better and credit to our team.
They should be high up the league with the budget they have. When you have a squad with four players from Birmingham and two from London who are willing to travel towards King's Lynn way for training each week you know there is some serious £££ floating around.
Is it sustainable in non league, surely can't.... Two examples in the past few weeks.
1, Witton Albion - Budget has been cut (after beating us) and also onto their 3rd manager. http://wittonalbionfc.89media.co.uk/new ... 10922#news
2, Loughborough Dynamo - From just last night, players not paid for 7 weeks. Average crowd of 122. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/loughboro ... ml#p649191

The Loughborough situation seems to be down to the chairman / owner, the manager and backroom staff all quit yesterday.yeltz85 wrote:King's Lynn view,

As for our game we seem to be able to keep battling to the end, need to start converting these draws (especially at home) into wins, I've said it before, but we need to start using some of the quality we have in midfield, again last night we seemed happy to by pass it.

They could and should have been 2, 3 or even 4-0 up at half time. So to go in 1-0 down was very fortunate.
Second half was so much improved which speaks volumes for the attitude and 'never say die' belief of these players as well as the management team who tweaked things at half time and during the 2nd half.
Part of the reason for the second half display was the ridiculous and over the top play acting, sportsmanship and time wasting of Kings Lynn.
Had they stuck to their game and carried on with the way they were playing they would have run out comfy winners. But their very own tactics disrupted them IMO.

Re: Kings Lynn Home
I always like it when someone writes my thoughts down for me, so thank you Dalevillain. Agree with all of your comment, with the exception of Lait as Man of the Match (I thought he had a stinker, certainly by his recent form).
What was with all the shouts of "one shot, one goal" at end?! Don't get me wrong, it's a fine shots-to-goals ratio, but surely their fans should be shouting that instead??
