To be fair, it's the first chance they've had and we should be about 5 up!

I really enjoyed the game today, a good test for us (yes Halesowen) I don't often post

However I'm not sure I agree with the last post

We were gifted the first goal, yes Ben and Till should have scored, but Sergent made a great save from Botfield who I thought played well

Christie was the outstanding player for us and is the one to make a difference this season. Thompson Brown also good and Aaron Griffiths did a great job at left back.

However it's all about opinions

A good post and a fair reflection- I do think Lait could have also scored one or two (or squared one to Ben for another sitter!)

Yeh, it's all about opinions- and I am often wrong lol!!

A really, really useful work out and our most competitive pre season game to date. I thought we were fortunate to be 1-0 up as the lead came from their goal keepers error, but in the first 15 minutes of the second half Ben and Till should have made it 0-3. We didn't score and Tividale got the reward for their efforts when we fell asleep at the end.

I mentioned in the Stourport match write up how important players like Aaron Griffiths are, I thought he did really well at LB tonight and It seems that John Hill is happy with him as cover for Asa. I genuinely think this team could do well again next season. The gaffer has bought in quality players in Kettle, Till and Thompson-Brown and the thing that impresses me most about them is, they don't only have quality, they seem to have the same desire, work rate and attitude. With respect to the outgoing players Kettle, Till and Thompson-Brown are a big improvement of Kelly, Guyes and Penney

'It's only a friendly'! ;)

Nonetheless Till continues to impress me. I hope he's the real deal when the season starts, sure he will be.
