No club with our record over the last couple of seasons - and in particular this one - would retain the managerial/ coaching personnel if there were not "dark forces" influencing the way that the club is run.
HTFC seems to attract owners with, shall I say, less than straight forward football intentions. Why are we such a target for cherry pickers/ asset strippers et al? It's almost certain that all this will end in a disaster for the club, fans and the town of Halesowen.
Sad days!
Totally agree with you Lutters.
I have only used 2 of my 12 vouchers in my half season ticket - the rest can wait until we have a change of management .....................

Maybe the Yeltzmen/Women of Halesowen have started to realise that the way forward is without our current owners.

Volunteers, Chairwomen, Presidents have limited spectrum in a Football club when a 10% owner is banned and the other 90% you never see.

I feel the time has come for loyal fans to take control and move forward in a diplomatic, transparent way. Otherwise, the club over the next two years is very likely going to stagnate no matter how hard the current volunteers work.

A couple of years ago (2015 accounts) the football club showed around £26k of assets on its books and around £85k of debt which I understood was loans from Mike Burke and Steve Lynch (presumably for footballing matters)

In the recently published accounts the assets were around £999k (but only £2k cash in hand) and total debt of £38k (of which £32k was to Dave Smith, for the James Grove bar presumably). In the expenditure details there were no items for repayment of the loans mentioned above.

To my untutored mind, the club has gained close on £1m in assets, but where are they? I know the pitch looks nice and the fencing is very shiny but they are not worth anything like £1m. This makes me think there is something with a paper valuation that the club is counting as an asset that is worth far more than the football club.

It is obvious that they don't give a damn about the playing side, so what is going on?

I do feel the club need to clarify a number of issues, not least the issues that Noggin has raised above but also the issue of who is running the club in Lynch's two year absence and why John Hill is unsackable. Oh and explain Bill Williams' apparent involvement.

But we'll get the usual wall of silence.

It's a shame when the inevitable happens, there will be no fans to pick up the pieces.

Such a shame that we are potentially sadly witnessing the end of a great club. What is even more sad is the fact it's dying with a whimper after so many decent folk fought so hard to save it.

On a slightly jocular note, Westy, first it's blue box syndrome now we have double posting!
