Re: Stafford Rangers Updates
Two quality finishes can't hide another unconvincing performance. We should be dominating a team as limited as SR were tonight, despite the injuries. I guess I have to ask the question : do the team get taught any tactics? Our positioning and off-ball running at free kicks, corners, etc., and the lack of width in attack suggest "No", as does the fact that we can't beat 10 man oppositions.

Re: Stafford Rangers Updates
Firstly I've got to say I feel value for money again, mainly due to the 2 quality finishes but value none the less.
I thought Stafford were very average, only their defence for the first 50 or so minutes were decent, including their keeper.
I'm sure we had the lions share of the possession but seemed incapable of doing anything with it, apart from in brief spells where we kept it on the deck. Which is really frustrating as we clearly can play well but as soon as Chilton went off we lost all width and went back to hoof ball. Hopefully Dunkley's injury is short term too as they're 2 of our best players.
I though Clarke had a really good game and that goal was something else but Kartel completely changed the game he pulled their defence apart and created space for Delaney to win the ball in the air. We've really been lacking pace so he was a more than welcome edition, think he could cause some real problems for teams going forward. Not to mention the finish and what a time to do it too.
I thought the passion shown by Denny in celebrating with the fans was a nice touch and I noticed Denny and Bragoli throughout the game when we went 0-2 down constantly encouraging the team. I think it's that passion that'll keep us up (FA enquiry pending of course).
One last thing as already stated, we really need to work on set pieces as the keeper was lapping the loose balls up all day.
All that being said a really enjoyable game thanks to the last 30 mins or so and I think it's the most vibrant the sheds been this season.
Hopefully more people will continue to crowd behind the goal we're attacking and we can get an atmosphere again.
