Showing my ignorance here (nothing unusual I hear someone say) but I always thought it was pronounced to rhyme with Keegan (as in Kevin of that ilk)

I'm with you Noggster. I used to work with a young Br***ie lad, Paddy Geohaghon, who was also a decent footballer, and he pronounced it as 'Go-Gan'.

But that could have been for the benefit of HMRC
