..... and another long time loyal fan bites the dust. Does the club care? Seems not. If the status quo continues there will be more and more.

It depends who you mean by the club Andy, and who you think is really running the show. I have my own views on that.

It was always going to come to this though. I was berated at the time, but two and a half years ago I said I thought we'd get found out. The problem was, criticism was not welcomed by fans or staff, so they brushed aside what was actually in front of them, and as a result it's deteriorated badly. I'm not saying it's all John Hill either by the way, far from it. It's a perfect storm of a mixture of things. If you bury your head in the sand as a few have done, and ignore the warning signs for long enough, then this is what happens. It's like the Villa. Randy Lerner and the people that propped him up and allowed the club to rot, deserved to get relegated. The genuine fans don't deserve it (and just because you go home and away, that doesn't automatically mean you are one), John Hill wouldn't deserve it either, but just like the Villa, the people that allowed it to happen would

Do you think that the management team might encourage and coach from the touchline on saturday ? With many new players I would expect vocal encouragement on saturday
Around 3 or 4 minutes of this game, Bennet-Tindall took a throw in and it was a high ball to his team mate, but our assistant managers encouragement to this young player was to shout at the top of his voice several times "that was f'in sh*t", "that was a f'in sh*t throw", "that was f'in sh*t" and continued with the same tirade as the player ran back past him to his position shouting it directly at him as he went by.

If the management call that encouragement, then I'm sorry but we are doomed with that attitude in place running this team.

Interesting...

Marine have a new but experienced manager who has been successful around Merseyside in recent years. He was at Skelmersdale most recently before their financial constraints kicked in.

Anyway the management duo were vocal like a lot of touchline staff , though generally kept things in check and were encouraging the players whilst shouting instructions.

When the assistant did have a go at one of the players, it was noticeable that he apologised soon afterwards.

I think the behaviour of our assistant manager on the touchline is disgusting
