Re: Stafford Rangers Updates
Dunno how we've managed to somehow scrape a draw from this after such a poor first half!

Attendance: 517
We definitely deserved at least a point on the second half performance.

2 shit concessions and outbattled first 30. Had three relatively good chances then second half stepped up to the plate. Great point considering. Skem next if not waterlogged is a must not lose at the very least. Wallace looked good

Re: Stafford Rangers Updates
Well, we've got out of jail massively tonight. Two excellent individual goals with our only real efforts in the game (bar a good save from their keeper in the first half) and we've somehow stole a point.
A two goal comeback that covers massive cracks and pulls the wool over people's eyes - not mine.
Tonight was still dire. No matter how it's dressed up.
First goal was a shambles. What was Platt doing!? Usually reliable but tonight was a little off. Why do our keepers seems to get caught off their line, is this coached? I recall Sarge getting lobbed a few times!
In relation to management - rather than having a bollocking at the ref, why weren't they organising the players and getting them switched on and organised to defend the oncoming Stafford attack. If the management stopped moaning at the ref and organised the team, maybe we wouldn't have conceded?
Second goal was a blatant foul and rightfully given a penalty. No complains there. Good save from Platt, the rebound unfortunately put away.
I thought the ref was spot on, pretty much all game - not sure what the management saw that warranted constant abuse? Especially the end of the first half? Anyone see anything from the ref that I missed?
After our first wonder goal it was still all Stafford. That was disappointing. Usually when a team gets one back, after trailing by two, it's constant pressure. Not tonight!
It's yet another poor result against opposition we should be beating, at home.
I'm left feeling massively underwhelmed. The only bright spot - great cameo's from our youth players. The academy seems to be working well.
Win, draw or lose. Nothing will change in the foreseeable future. That's frustrating.

Goes to show how much I know! Couldn't see us getting anything out of this at HT, but it was a valiant fightback with two superbly taken goals. The young lad up top was excellent- really hustled their back line and buried his finish in the last minute.

Re: Stafford Rangers Updates
I feel game of two halves. Better in the second, two great goals but Stafford were poor tbh. We are where we are for a reason. Im not convinced we have the players for anything better and I think we're several players short of a good team. To their credit, they do at least battle. Worryingly no physio and John Hill as a sub if Im not mistaken, struck me as a bit pub team.
Still. A points a point and they all count.
