Re: Hinckley Updates
Only time will tell if that last 20 minutes of our game and Stamford's game will be pivotal. Certainly at 4.30 it looked like we were going to be falling 6 points behind.

Re: Hinckley Updates
Not entirely sure what to make of that. First half was as dreadful as others have said, although the ref was equally shambolic. Second half much better (ref probably worse) and on balance we at least deserved the point.
More concerning is that is not a performance from a side that is about to win a league (there is, of course, an argument it showed the character needed, however).
Finally, Richard Gregory. What. A. Bloke.

Re: Hinckley Updates
Thats the positive to take from today. 2-0 down with 15 to go we would have taken the point every day.
Shocking though to read comments from an away game regarding lack of effort/commitment. Hopefully can turn this around for remaining games

Re: Hinckley Updates
We are very lucky to have both Greggs and Platty, both should be playing league above. We should be beating teams like Hinckley, if we can’t we don’t deserve to win this league.

Re: Hinckley Updates
I might be shot down on this but I just don't think we can play away from home. Shocking for 75 minutes and then after we score (which I could never see coming) we suddenly up the tempo. We equalise and even though the ref played until 2 minutes to 5 ( only thing he did for us all game
) we could not find the winner. We wouldn't have deserved it anyway. I just hope we can rely on the other 2 to keep dropping points as well.

Re: Hinckley Updates
Its a shame that we didnt play from the off how we did at the end, because they couldnt live with us and while it feels like a win, I think yet again its another game where we didnt turn up to start. It worries me how often we've done that and been left chasing a game. I think Ive seen enough to say Gregs and Insall as a front two didnt work, although Insall again gives 110%. Platty kept us in that game and Evo made the back line a bit more resilient.
I hope the club is able to hand feedback for referees because both he and the linesman on the left were outright incompetent. I dont think ive seen refereeing that bad in years.

"They" sing
"With Josh Quaynor we're gonna win the league!"
Man of the match today?

Re: Hinckley Updates
Didn't feel like a win to me I'm afraid. It just felt like yet another game where we weren't good enough. Re the ref, I agree absolutely shocking, and not for the penalties (they were) but for not giving us a penalty and awarding just about everything else against us. But can't blame the ref for our performance.drummyb wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 18:36Its a shame that we didnt play from the off how we did at the end, because they couldnt live with us and while it feels like a win, I think yet again its another game where we didnt turn up to start.
