Re: Beduff
overall a fair result. Given we played well for 10 minutes up to our goal and they played well for 10 mins after theirs. Not good enough Im afraid. Ok its a point away from home, but for supposed league champs, that performance suggests we arent.

Re: Beduff
Just got back attrocious weather and game
Cant see us going up playing the way we are ,way to ponderous and allways running into trouble all the time
Created nothing apart from the goal dont remember their keeper having a save to make ,subs made no difference mills looks overweight insall runs around alot without touching the ball ,gregory too deep not fit enough we just dont stretch teams and no one gets behind our forwards from midfield.mini mac not the player he was from last season.i think wev gone stale and look short of confidence .unlucky not to lose when they hit the bar after penalty.highlights of the day the pork sandwich and meeting former cov goalkeeper steve ogrisovic.

Re: Beduff
Considering that was probably the strongest 11 and 5 subs so far this season ( so no excuses ), that was dross. We created so little it was frightening. Bedworth did as little as us, but did hit the underside of the bar after they had equalised. And that's about it.
The highlight definitely the pork bap and the Westy recommended Beduff Broth for just 50p! Did I mention the weather?.....

Re: Beduff
i actually thought Mills had a bit of gumption and took them on, but I get your point.
Very stale. Back line looked troubled once we lost Morris, midfield was ok, but didnt really take the game to them and the front line has looked off the boil for a while.
We have some decent players no doubt, but its a bit huff and puff and no houses being blown down.
Im afraid we have some decent players, but they arent gelling and look far too slow.

Re: Beduff
We threw it away - again!
This could have been the day that we took this league by the scruff of the neck.
The defence may be suspect, but if we could score more goals it wouldn't matter so much.
Really gutted - and I wasn't there !
The one positive is that the other two aren't invincible.

Re: Beduff
Don’t like the 4-3-3 shape as think midfield having to do far to much, would prefer 4-4-2. I think we have been far too week at the back and if playing 4-4-2 would help to screen the defence. We consistently miss too many chances up front and also concede too many free kicks and penalties. It’s about time the management team address this.

Re: Beduff
Why do we keep playing this long ball crap when everyone bar the midfield is 5' 9 (I exaggerate but only slightly).
Very frustrated. If we keep playing like this, we'll do well to make the play offs

Exactly that. All of it. We can play football, but the hoofing it into channels is pointless. We get nothing from it.fairweatherfan wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 19:03Why do we keep playing this long ball crap when everyone bar the midfield is 5' 9 (I exaggerate but only slightly).

Re: Beduff
As I've said more or less all season we're not good enough to. And unfortunately we didn't throw it away today as we never deserved to be in front in the first place. Unless things change we will just be relying on others to be more inconsistent than ourselves.lutleyyeltz wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 18:32We threw it away - again!
