Fantastic performance and thoroughly deserved. I was dreading extra time but we bossed the last half hour. Well done lads.

Only negatives in a huge positive. The officials. Where did 4 mins extra time come from?? Awful decisions that could have cost us through the entire game.

I thought the crowd was bigger than it was too. The Shed certainly made it louder. All smiles here

Nit picking all game, didn't get some of his decisions.

That was no fluke. We deserved that. After watching them knock the ball round in the first half and create little we upped our tempo in the second and were the better team. Little in the way of chances for either side but we took our all important one. What a great victory. Well done lads!!!!!

The crunch game at Berkhamstead in December will now be postponed to a later date. By that time we will have played 3 of our games in hand though, may need to win them all! It's a massive ask playing 2 big games a week, every week for the foreseeable but if we can stay injury free we have a cracking squad to rotate.

As an aside.
The replay between Lancaster and Stour resulted in a 2 - 1 win for Stour - after a 5 minutes delay after a 22 man brawl.
Both managers sent off!

Can't remember when we last made first round of the Trophy

Last time was when we lost at Gateshead in 2014-15 (discussed in another thread a couple of weeks ago], but that does seem a lifetime ago!

At least we're doing better than we did in the early days now. I remember after we got promoted from the Banks's and rejoined the Trophy we went SIX years without a single victory. The following year we finally made it past the opening round with a bye!
