I think this is the new master plan. No more hoofing long ball, its defend and defend again. A solid back five may just get us a nil nil and 46 of those and hey presto, survival. Literally bore the opposition into submission!

So sad to see how many familiar faces were missing tonight. People just can not bear watching this excuse for football any more. Attendance given as 365 tonight. Never. I have not seen the terraces so empty for a league game in years. What will be the catalyst that brings all this to an end? There must be something, please......

Already safe Halesowen held firm as fifth placed Nantwich dominated play but couldn’t break the stalemate at the Grove.
Despite being unable to find a vital goal, the Dabbers still booked their play-off place and first threatened when Osebdi Abadaki drove wide of the Halesowen goal after just three minutes. An 18th minute free-kick from Matt Bell was then collected by Dan Platt and Nantwich captain Sam Hall launched a long range effort that dropped just over the bar from 35 yards out three minutes later.
The shot-shy Yeltz haven’t scored for five games and hardly troubled the visitors although Cameron Milne’s 27th minute shot deflected into the arms of goalkeeper Kristian Burzynski in Halesowen’s only chance of the first half. The visitors went close again after 31 minutes when Platt saved from Curtis Jones at the far post after Josh Hancock floated over a free-kick.
Curtis Jones then headed at Platt and the visitors forced two further corners late in the first half with the Yeltz scrambling off the line in the 40th minute.
The Dabbers kept up the heat after the interval as Andy White curled over the bar in the 48th minute. Ibou Touray then struck a 57th minute free-kick just wide and Hancock’s header dropped just wide from Bell’s 59th minute free-kick in search of a crucial goal.
For the Yeltz, Rob Taylor’s 63rd minute cross was collected by Burzynski and Mo Diop had two half chances with his 71st minute header cleared from Steele’s corner before being blocked in the penalty area two minutes later.
Steve Jones finally found space in the home area in the 75th minute but Platt made a fine save and a minute later Taylor cleared off the line from substitute Joe Mwasile. In injury time Nantwich substitute Tom Peers hit a great chance over the bar after White skipped through the home defence and Platt made another fine reflex save to deny White as all Nantwich’s late pressure came to nothing against Halesowen’s resolute defence.

hmm doesn't sound like I've missed much despite having missed quite a few matches this season still hopefully it will be better on Saturday to end the season I plan to be present.

Uninspiring, end of season fare.
Nantwich surprised me- they seemed to really sit back and play for the draw, whereas a win would have taken them into 3rd and given a much better chance of a home tie in the playoffs. Probably should have shook hands on a 0-0 in the first minute and then we could have all gone down the pub.
My positives: 1. Cameron Steele looks a decent winger with a good cross and a turn of pace; 2. Jay Denny seems to know what he's doing at centre back; 3. Dan Platt makes some unbelievable saves from short range.
