Blyth will go for it now as there's no way they'll want a replay

Full time: Lost 4.3

Fantastic second half performance- so, so unlucky.

Unfortunately, Platty's error proved to be very costly.

I'm back home and to be honest I still can't take in what we saw today.

We really struggled in the first 10 mins, but battled back into it and should have had a penalty when their defender did a Maradona-style handball that somehow the ref missed. They scored two decent goals before the break and we looked pretty much out of it.

The manager bravely went to 3-5-2 for the second half, bringing Delaney on to help Kaiman out up front. We were transformed, suddenly passing the ball through midfield and causing their defence all sorts of problems. Their keeper came too far out to punch/slap clear a cross - it fell straight to Jay outside the box and he coolly chipped it over everyone into the empty net. Delaney then curled in a beauty not long after, and then unbelievably scored another when he held of their defender and smacked it in. Never seen anything like it.

Unfortunately there were still 20 mins to go, but we were holding out well until somehow what looked like a tame shot went straight through Platty and it was all square. We were obviously down the other end so couldn't see what happened that well, but speaking to one of their fans after the game who was close, he said he had no idea how it got through him either. Still, he's saved us enough times in the past so don't really want to blame him.

Even then we had a great chance to snatch victory when Chilton hit a shot just over the bar from not very far out in front of goal. Then the buggers went up the other end and forced in what turned out to be the winner.

Obviously gutted by the final score, but the spirit and skill we showed in the second half was truly outstanding, and we definitely deserved at least a draw if not more. Well done to all the players and the manager for a stirring second half fightback - couldn't be any prouder.

Football. Bloody hell.

We're a better side when we play two up front.

First thing that came into my mind when I read Polls match analysis, just didn't like to comment as I wasn't there.
