Gutted we're out the Trophy...
but sounds a positive performance overall! I'm glad to hear it - hopefully I'll have to eat my words about JH

It would appear from the HTFC site that No.4 Sam Brookes has left the club.
After the howler against Worksop it seems that that number has been a jinx. I refer to Peter Folkes, last season. Nuff said!

TBH, I thought it was a lame exit from the trophy, yes we played better but this was a huge game for the club financialy, Worksop wouldn't have scored if they had played until midnight unless we gifted them something (which right on cue ,we did) we had some periods of pressure but also had periods where we looked like it was a friendly, we really should have been up for this and instead fell short.
Nice to see a good following from Worksop and thought they were a credit to their club, plenty of noise and a very friendly bunch, best of luck to them for the rest of the season.

zee is right, we could/should have won this one (worksop on a bad day) the choice of subs (like for like) seemed to say that we were playing to keep at 0:1? we seem to only use subs to change our system when we`re winning!
(see last tuesday) worksop must have been grateful we didnt, say, put an extra forward on or worse (for them) put michel forward (see romulus match) or even where he plays better, on the right wing (see pete/colin era)...
concentrate on league? (see table)

Thanks to Zee Zee for the kind words about the Worksop following. We enjoyed our trip even though we did not play well and a draw would have been fair on the balance of play. Away games are much more fun as the moaners stay at home and the true fans support the team. Sounds like you also have a similar loyal following as one of your fans in the club told me that you regularly take around 50 away.
All the best for the future and thanks for the hospitality which showed the reason why we follow non league football.

first of all, we played very well against Worksop, mainly because they allowed us to. We had more time on the ball which suits our smaller, more football minded players. In our league however there are very physical sides, who give you very little time to play, which is why we looked better against Worksop then we have most of the season.
I think we lacked a bit of 'umph' at the end in what should of been a do or die last 20 or 10 minutes, was a bit flat! Not only was gueyes not put up front ( good pace / skill) he was played on the wrong wing anyway. It's disappointing to know that with a few tweaks that we know work we could of come away with a draw at least.
I would like to hope we could carry on with more of the same next match, but then again we are faced with a more physical team!

Obviously gutted to be out the cup but its nicer to have a bit of a run than nothing at all which we did. Also would have been a big game against Chester FC away next round which is unfortunate.
Few positives from the game, hopefully the team can build upon this and we can be harder to beat. We can score plenty of goals (only two games where we have failed to score this season), just need to tighten up at the back.
Milly misses the next three games... Who will replace him?

Agree with what already said about perfomance and subs choices.
I do think Corbett is not a 90 minute player and a fresh pair of legs instead of his be it Evans Or Warren Brooks (I know not on the bench) could have caused a bit more trouble for Worksop in our attacks.
Positive
Did not rain.
Concentrate on League.
Management and extensive coaching staff have two practice sessions before Kings Lynn.
The next four Saturdays we must see some good results and positive signs of progress from the new management team.

Maybe we did quite well against Worksop.
The beat Blyth Spartans 8-1 on Tuesday following two previous 3-0 league wins as well!
