Agreed, potentially a new manager in place, five games unbeaten, FA Trophy 1st Qual round for first time in 5 years, Gresley should bring 40-50. Should be a good game and hopefully a decent attendance to go with it.lutleyyeltz wrote:It's results wot matters!

And 6 potential managers some hiding in the shadows.yeltz85 wrote:Attendance 146 tonight. Got to be at least 80 Halesowen!
Marcus Jackson had a quiet night, Nathan Jackson when he came on has returned to (as pre my coaching days at the Yeltz) not jumping for headers. Mr Arshad was lucky to get away with a foul near half time and promptly when subbed went to dressing room or to kick managers door in.
Romulus did not make the most of their knowledge of playing & practicing on carpet. Officials poor when we were kicked off the park no action other than occasional "dont do it again please?".
Well done to Jean - bet he has a few bruises today. Well done to the players and get fit soon Ben H.

Re: Sutton Coldfield Updates
This result should not be taken lightly.
1. The 3G pitch takes some getting used to, even if you are only watching, never mind playing on it. The ball zips about at a pace, and there was a strong wind.
2. The 'Thugs 11' got away with murder !!! A stronger ref would have had a field day with yellow (and possibly a red). Instead our hapless and weak man in the middle at times encouraged the thuggery.
3. Ben leaves a gaping hole up front. That considered, perhaps it was fortunate he was missing a few games, as our agricultural friends would have probably dispatched him to Sutton infirmary.
All in all, given the circumstances this was a very, very good 3 points. The lads never gave up, even though most of them will wake up this morning with severe bruising !!
Jean Michel is looking a better player every game he plays, and scored a great opportunist goal.
On a different subject I wonder how many times a new manager anywhere has had the luxury of taking over a very good squad of players who are near the top of a league !!!!
