Great team performance tonight. Thought they looked the better side until Ben scored the first, but then we took control. Second half we dominated it, and apart from a bit of sloppy play to allow them one back, it was all plain sailing. Ben really looks a class act at this level

It's almost exactly 6 years since a Yeltz player scored 4 in a match. On 16th Sept 2006 Matt Lewis netted 4 times in an FA Cup match at Telford.

Brilliant performance last night, very entertaining and the WHOLE team battled for EVERY ball and for each other. Performances like this deserve to be played in front of many more people!

Fantastic performance last nightly the whole team. The players look motivated and it showed on the pitch, they all worked hard together and didn't give Biggleswade and time on the ball.

Ben's fantastic four goals and it could have been more. Gueyes, Corbett and Barny had good games, Steane his best game yet. Not fair to pick out individuals though as everyone deserves a mention.

We have craved fast, entertaining football this season and we got it last night. Long may it continue and the fans will return over time... Attendance was low last night but with footy on the tele, a midweek game and a replay from a match that was played on Sat it was going to be difficult to get a big crowd. However Greslay should be different.

Well done to everyone once again last night.

Great result.

The 115 is a bit of a blow though.

Well - those that chose to sit in front of the TV, and watch some nondescript sides playing in the EU, missed a cracking display from a Yeltz team that reminded me of the days of yesteryear!
Total commitment, passion and a desire to attack the opposition from the first whistle gave Biggleswade a host of problems.
Our first goal was a gift due to a "howler" by their defence but, after that, our constant pressure gave the Biggles back four a hard evening. Ben took his four goals well, but that shouldn't detract from an exciting display from the rest of the team who played some really great football. The long punt over the top was, thankfully,less evident and we tried to keep the ball on the grass - to good effect.
We were, unusually, confident at the back, Evans being his usual safe pair of hands. Barnfield and Steane worked hard in the middle. Jean-Michel and Corbett were tireless in going forward. Jean-Michel deserves extra praise for regularly tracking back to help out when needed.
An emphatic win and the applause as the Yeltz left the pitch was an indication of the hope and confidence that a performance like like last night's can give - not only to the players, but to the fans also.

The aspirant managers who were in attendance must have been licking their lips at the prospect of taking charge of a group of players who showed, at last, what they can do. If we can produce that sort of performance throughout the rest of the season we aren't going to be far away from the top three or four by season's end.

I don't know what you have put into the energy drinks, Colin Brookes, but can you please pass the recipe over to the new manager?

Well done to all concerned for restoring some pride back to The Grove faithful!

P.S. A welcome £2300 in the bank. A pity it has to be spent on new coach wheels!

The only faces that I personally recognised were: Ian Rowe (Gornal Athletic) and the great Lee Williams accompanied by Alex Cowley. Now there's a combo!
I'm assured by the cognoscenti that there were others.

This is the first time we have reached this round since 2006, a welcome run in the cup with potentially a decent crowd against Gresley FC. Hopefully they will bring a few.
