It's best I keep out really but one way or t'other we'll inevitably end up having a beer anyroad.

I'm a bit of an internet nerd; I've been on a few forums, and also been a moderator on a couple of huge sites, so I know a thing or two about these places.

JohnC: munchkin isn't hiding behind a name. A username is a tag so that the user can remember it easily or it may be an unusual nickname, etc. I'm swipey, but my name ain't Stuart Swipey or Swipey Whitehouse: it's a variation of my DJ name, but I'm not hiding either.. it's just a bit of fun on t'interweb.

Personal sniping shouldn't be done on here, we're meant to be harmonious for Christ's sake and it doesn't help our cause.

For the record you ARE negative, but I've been telling everyone up the Grove that I think you're okay where I get raised eyebrows as a quizzical response: you say it how it is and you don't look through rose-tinted glasses - although I'd like to state here that I don't think the rest of the Yeltz faithful are naive - and thus create a nice balance... just think your views are posted in a fashion that pee's a few people off. I respect you, your knowledge, your opinions and your honesty and like Isay, I think you're a clever chap. :)

swipey, you worried me for a time then, just when i thought you were saying a bore draw is ok (at home, where we are trying to keep the supporters we have, let alone bring in new ones!) then you go and do your last post and some it all up, you are good!

watisnerm, I can guarantee that as of October there will be more people coming to The Grove; a handful maybe, but it's like that Tecso's advert.

I just think that if people are that annoyed with other members on the forum then they should do it in the proper fashion: either pmthe offending member cc'ing admin into it or click on that upside-down triangle with the exclamation mark on it... I myself will be doing neither; JohnC is needed by The Yeltz more than people'd believe ;)

hope you are right about attendance (last season 1st 5 matches = av. 271, this season 1st 5 = av. 228 and this season we had a HOME fa cup match in that) and what has tesco apples 4 for a pound got to do with it? :)

No apathy on HH's part - as Doc said he's been having issues and I'm on holiday in Italy so couldn't pick up the slack (apologies for that).

Not that there was much to report I fear :(

Go on then I'll ask again. Who is the magic man who is going to save us as we're all doomed? This is an open to all question not a particular dig at anyone on here.

I have no idea who I'd turn to. But thought we defended very well yesterday. Corbett looked a good acquisition, so obviously Shaun listens to some of our supporters / sponsors / behind the scene people. Haseley had a couple of half chances he can sometimes put away, and Gueyes showed his inexperience when presented with two great chances, he'll learn with time. They didn't create anything too special, so no doubt they were a shit side who we should have walloped 10........ I jest.

Meanwhile back to the game... I was encouraged we signed Corbett and for the first 15 minutes it was an enjoyable game with the ball seeing plenty of the grass. After that, for whatever reason, JMG and others passed and went backwards or we relied on Haseley trying to trap a ball on his nose having come from great heights over his shoulder and hoping he could put a foot on it before it reached Lye. 75 minutes of tedium after that even had some of us yearning for the entertainment we had, even though we lost, last Tuesday.
Make it stop - this was beyond awful at times!
