And this was despite several offers of beer tokens to their keeper only minutes earlierYeltzDoc wrote:Period of pressure and their keep saves on line

Of course I hasten to add, as a member of the management team I had no part in this and was quick to chastise the guilty parties

Re: Thatcham Updates
TBH, on the way down, I would have taken a point but at the final whistle, we were left feeling we should have got all 3 points, having said that , after the last 6 games a point is a positive ( sorry if any of the doomsayers take offence at the positive word) , as the new players gel, it should start to turn into wins.
Must comment on the Thatcham 'massive', basically 4 or 5 kids with a drum and some kind of vuvuzala type thingy from poundland who occupied their 'shed' that literally looked like one of those steel sheds you buy in the Sun that takes several weeks to put together only to find you can't get your BSA Bantam in
They sang the whole game, told us all they were 'loyal supporters' (didn't see them at the Grove) and clearly didn't know who they were playing against as they sang' I can't hear the away team sing '
and toward the end told us we would all get our f***in eads kicked in
< but went long before we walked round to exit the ground. Brilliant lads, loved your enthusiasm and at least we had a loff.

Re: Thatcham Updates
Just seen the attendance figure of 115, did they include the players, officials and everyone stood on platform 1 of the railway station at 3pm?
