After they got battered 6-1 last week this was only ever going to go two ways, they would either crumble again or they'd show a reaction. Sadly for us they survived our early efforts at an early goal with the keeper making a couple of fine saves, as the game went on their confidence grew. Into the second half and we changed shape to a diamond in midfield and two up top to try and win the game, we certainly bossed this spell but just couldn't find the goal. We made a third sub, again to try and win the game and the game really became a basketball like game - end to end and in truth Platty had to make two superb saves to keep us in it. Although Miracle almost got a late winner.
0-0 was probably a fair result on balance with both keepers probably man of the match for their respective sides. Three points on Tuesday will be a very good start to the season.
