Re: Sutton Updates
Five successive away games yield one point and one goal!
Says it all, methinks.

The performance today, as it usually is nine times out of ten, was dire. We were dominated in the second half by a team who simply aren't good enough for this league, based on what I've seen and yet they come away with 3 points. I can no longer justify spending good money on this. I can also no longer justify spending good money on a team who have no fight in them, who's tactics are simply hoof and hope for the best. It's not like this is new, from what I've seen this has become the norm.
I spent £8 on a tribute band last night and had a great time. Now how can I justify spending £10 on something I don't enjoy? Fair play those who go regularly but I no longer wish to waste my hard earned money and my bank holidays watching this anymore.
It's no longer just the performances. There seem to be certain people at the club who are happy to allow this to continue, and ridicule those who disagree. There also seems to be a mantra around the club that you and your opinion are not respected by these certain people if you do not attend nearly every game and also turn up half an hour before the game.
I'm sorry but I have no wish to be a part of this anymore until certain things change. I'd rather spend my money doing something I enjoy and also some where I feel welcome.
....and another ones had enough. I also know yesterday of another long term fan that is calling it a day. Will it make one iota of difference, will anyone that can change things care? I doubt it. Though lord knows who is in a position to change anything now anyway. But the good news is, if your quick you can renew your ticket and watch this crap on the cheap.
Idea for whoever is allowed to run this show:
Improve the product. Don't just make it cheaper. Nobody will buy a stale loaf just because its half price......

It would be nice to know who's going to run the show come ban o'clock

“I am extremely disappointed with the outcome and am filing papers for an appeal. A committee run the place anyway and it is a family business.
When I took over the first target was to make the business self-funded.”

I could run the club but it wouldn't mean I was the owner

Re: Sutton Updates
Just got back from a great away day at Sutton today which was (as seems the norm on away days) marred by the 90 mins of football.
To put it bluntly, it was pathetic, awful. If we were a decent side we'd have punished a similiar equal poor Sutton side by scoring a couple in the first half and then seeing the game out comfortably. Sadly we didn't do enough, we weren't positive enough and we invited the pressure in the second half and inevitably after Platt kept us in the game with some terrific saves and after a blatant penalty shout, they scored and from then on you couldn't see us equalising.
It sums up what has undoubtedly been a lousy season and most of us cannot continue watching this mess and hopeless tactics in any shape or form. Yes there have been some decent performances but sadly they have been few and far between this season. Thank god we were mathematically safe today or else we would be in for the plunge.
I can't deny that John Hill has done great things for the football club and we are far in a better position than when he took us over, but things have gone massively stale since the early part of this season to much the extent the staleness is starting to grow mould and let off a horrible smell and turning long term followers away from the club, it isn't right - things have to change!

The part that worries me is that no, no one will care that fans are dropping out. And, just as concerning, is that the product won't change either. Those who are causing the problems seem untouchableandy wrote: ↑17 Apr 2017, 19:21

Very well summed up Dale, we can't keep clinging on to the past. Things have to change or we will keep regressing until we are right back to where we were before, or worse.dalevillain wrote: ↑17 Apr 2017, 22:05
