Not a good result today but we battled well certainly towards the end of the game. Whilst the run of form we are currently on is rightly a concern I for one thought before the season started that we would really struggle but as it happens we are comfortably safe in this league which is a real achievement to be proud of. It's also important to note that we are only losing matches by the odd goal and not being beaten by for example three goals as our near neighbours have been! Or by four goals as Kings Lynn have been today so all in all we just need to keep battling on.

Our defence seemed unusually nervous not sure why. We had one cleared off the line by defender when keeper beaten. Plus at least one other good chance to make it 3 all. Tonksy was the deserved man of the match. At least we scored two goals. Onto the seaside next week.

Defence were shakey due to lack of goals. If you don't score then this puts added pressure on the defence.

An abysmal pitch and difficult conditions made today difficult. I didn't think too much about the opposition. Well organised and good going forward but no real shakes.

I think this run of 5 games is a reality check. We are a bloody good side but we need more killer instinct and better quality up front. Hard work and a never say die attitude can only take you so far. Unfortunately.

But then that brings in a new problem. We need to bring in better players. But do they care and work as hard. No.

I for one would rather watch the current squad, who give their all every game than watch better quality who don't care and have poorer attitude. This is the dilemma John now faces.

We have a player in the squad who I don't question the ability of, in fact I think he's a good player, but his attitude is appalling and his work rate is very poor. Give me a Tonksy, man of the match by some way today, any day.

We are in a good position and I am still damn proud of this side. We go again Saturday.

The game was lost in a mad few minutes after half time after I thought we deserved to lead at half time. However, Ashton clearly came out with greater intensity and we were not sharp enough and letting the ball bounce around led to goals. Overall a draw would've been about right although most of our danger continues to come from Tonksy's huge throws or set pieces.

Absolute wounder of a result and a very frustrating afternoon. I don't think we've played a team this season that were so poorly equipped for our long throws, they just couldn't clear the danger and we either won the first header or got a chance on a second ball. You felt at half time that we had let too many good chances slip- but didn't expect the punishment to come so quickly and clinically. Sir John might be spitting feathers at conceding three goals in about five minutes, but sometimes you've got to credit the oppo for three great moves and finishes. I can't understand the decision to take off Iyseden- they did not get to grips with him all day- and we laboured our way to the final whistle after that change. Tonks was rightly Man of Match- great performance from him- but a gutting afternoon overall.

This is the point I was trying to make in October when I caused so much of a stir

And in relation to your point about better players might not work as hard, the reason they are better players in the first place is because they work/have worked harder
