Boothe missed a late pen.
Should have given it to his brother John Wilkes, a much better shot.
Ah. Him off of Emmerdale.

Filmed up the road from me. Reece Dinsdale drinks in our local. The glamour.
I can remember when it were all fields 'round here. (Yesterday.)

Just returned. Dear oh dear that was poor. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt though as the pitch was very bobbily. Nice to sign off with another victory though and it was nice to have all the players show their thanks at the end. How many we will be applauding back on to the pitch in August remains to be seen.

Would have been nice if the gaffer had responded to the constant chanting for Gregory, but instead brought on Boothe whose contribution was to turn 3 defenders, reach the box, fall over and have his resulting penalty saved. Summed it up really. :-\ ;D

I suspect that Gregs has been carrying a knock tbh. I dont think he'll be here next year either.

From listening to the excellent live commentary the highlights seemed to be the very frequent trains, lost balls (stuck in trees & gardens), a conga, plus occasional football interruptions or did I get this wrong?

Pretty much it. Very bobbly pitch as mentioned. Berkhamstead were poor in all honesty, but at least we matched them ;)

It could have ended up in Lincoln.
The ploughman he's a bonnie lad,
His mind is ever true, jo,
His garters knit below his knee,
His bonnet it is blue, jo.
Then up wi' him my ploughman lad,
And hey my merry ploughman!
Of a' the trades that I do ken,
Commend me to the ploughman.

and we won! and we finished 8th, for all our usual drama thats not to bad in my books. I think a good % of us would have taken that start of season, then again maybe not. The old saying that prep for next season starts now - where there is no doubt in my mind we should absolutely piss this league easy next time round LOL

Even the conga was the worst I have ever seen. 😂
