Re: Stamford Updates
No excuses. Going down to 10 early doors (Dubois IMHO) was never going to be good. Heavy (very heavy) pitch and a storm force down field wind didn’t help either. Dust off and go again.

Exactly my thought OG. We wouldnt have lost that with 11 and did very well to stay in the game til they scored. They all put a shift in which is all you can ask. Miracle was ,again, man marked and did well to create the space he did when he did. I still beleive he needs help up top though

Didn’t expect anything out of this game (nor Coalville or Mickleover) so can come to terms with the result. People are also saying the red was very harsh, which will no doubt have made it a much harder assignment.
Have watched video of the goals though and I think Guinness might have got an assist in all three.

I see what you did there!! Always tough when they have a man over, and in honesty we played well without being outstanding and the scoreline flatters them. Im not sure why their support still has such a massive hard on for last seasons battle to promotion and they still have a sign in the bar celebrating it. Im guessing not a lot happens in Stamfordpiearce9 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2023, 18:19Didn’t expect anything out of this game (nor Coalville or Mickleover) so can come to terms with the result. Re: Stamford Updates
Just seen highlights and the Stamford guy didnt make as much of the 'stamp' as I was expecting. Thought he would have been rolling round holding his leg.
Disappointing that 2 goals came from corners though.
Not a lot has been said about Platty's save in the first half. he has made a few errors in recent matches but that save was deffo world class and had a Premier keeper made it it would have been talked about all over the place.
Nice one Platty

Re: Stamford Updates
Platty's quality is never in doubt in my opinion. He has only really been undone after coming too far out but that is a tactical problem, not really his. As a shot stopper we will see no better. As a leader we will see no better. Number one all day.
