Re: Chasetown Updates
A 100% home record no doubt helps keep the fans coming in. Ilkeston would have fancied their chances of kicking on again this season but they only got about 1100 through the gate yesterday with free admission. When they ran the same incentive last season, I’m sure they got a lot higher. Football fans are a fickle bunch and we can only hope that we retain ours.

Lutters pun was great but juanillo referencing a sea battle between the Greeks and the Persians in 480BC is far too good for this forum.

He’s related to the Walsall Wood manager, Harry Harris. I think Harry is his uncle.

Re: Chasetown Updates
Interesting to see the comparisons with crowds, particularly to clubs higher than us. One thing on that though, fans of those clubs will no doubt be paying more than Yeltz fans to get in and they'll not seeing their team win so much. Let's say we had an 70/80% win rate in home games in the league above and fans were paying £12 per game - I can't imagine we would be getting 1,000 fans. I would hazard a guess that a good number of our supporters have little idea of how the pyramid works and wouldn't know if you asked them who was higher in the pyramid between Barwell and Bedworth. Even on away games I'm hearing some of our followers referring to players by shirt number as they don't know the players' names.
The one thing about not going up this season has been the fact we've won every week at home, and this is allowing our fan base to grow, we need to get there this season though. I really can't face another season of bloody Coleshill and Sutton..
