Cracking game. Cracking atmosphere. Unfortunately, yet again spoilt by a few of their fans. The best comment I heard tonight from one of their fans was that 'Our fans threw a red flare at themselves when Stourbr*dge scored!'

....and what did we get out of it? Injuries to essential players. Whoopee!

Re: Stourbr*dge Updates
Their stewards are more concerned about stopping genuine fans talking to each other than stopping flares and other dangerous objects.
One of our fans got burned by a flare...so that's two injuries in the last two fixtures.
It's only a matter of time before a serious injury occurs at this fixture.
It's takes one idiot with a knife etc (clearly checks aren't in place for those under 18) and we have a serious matter on our hands.
Something needs to be done. Both clubs need to communicate.
It's a shame we're talking about the off the field incidents, as I thought that was a cracking game.
I thought Stour deserved the win overall but we day half battle!

Re: Stourbr*dge Updates
So in regards to matters on the pitch first, a fantastic derby game played under the floodlights and despite it being deemed by many as a ‘pointless cup competition
’ it was played in great spirits and the result aside I thought we played pretty decent tonight, especially in the first half where we should have taken our chances and been in front.
Second half Stour came back at us and we defended resolutely up until the last 5 mins when they scored but again great response by our lads to equalise at the death to take it to penalties.
Of course it’s a lottery when it comes to penalties and gutting we went out for the 2nd time in a week in a Cup competition on pens especially to your local rivals and even more disapponting as we had the advantage 3 times in the shootout and threw it away every time but credit to our players tonight for their efforts on the pitch.
Again as a side note the atmosphere in the Shed End once again turned ugly after Stour went 1-0 up and their moronic chavvy kids once again throwing a flare at us. Seems like lessons have not been learned from a few weeks back with their appalling stewarding and security in place which once again overshadowed a Derby which is arguably one of the best in Non-league football.

So what ARE they going to do about it. Bugger all it seems. All this we're going to weed them out and ban them was just hot air it seems.

The security firm are a joke. I've seen a video of a group of them acting like thugs, ganging up and abusing their power towards a Stour fan.ginger dynamo wrote: ↑25 Oct 2017, 12:58I would also ditch the 'security company' that they use.....worse then useless.

I hope the Stour fan takes the matter further.
