Re: Sporting Khalsa Updates
Any positives to take from game, did a trialist look promising?

Not sure which is more of a concern: a comprehensive defeat by a team 2 levels below or the appearance of the Trialist family in full force with just over a fortnight to go before the start of the season.

Only a friendly so not to go too overboard but just to echo juanillo's comments it was concerning on both parts that we were completely outplayed; especially in the first half by a team 2 tiers below who were so much quicker and sharper to the ball than us with more desire to play fast flowing football. It reminded me of our friendly against Bromsgrove last season when we were completely took to the cleaners by. If it wasn't for the trialist keeper it could have been really embarrassing.
2nd half was marginally better as we slowed the pace of the game down but we never really troubled them or looked like scoring and got what we deserved.
Again with only 2 and a half weeks before the start of the season you would think by now we would know what formation and team we would be going with but that doesn't appear to be the case.
At least the next 3 friendlies are at home so gives us a chance to get used to playing on the new pitch which I have to say from the pics is looking pretty good!
So least positives can be taken....

Sorry, not many positives taken from last night apart from the fact it was only 3-0, it was only a friendly and the clubhouse was decent as had a brilliant post match curry!andy wrote: ↑26 Jul 2017, 12:42....and the positives were?dalevillain wrote: ↑26 Jul 2017, 09:56Only a friendly so not to go too overboard but just to echo juanillo's comments it was concerning on both parts that we were completely outplayed; especially in the first half by a team 2 tiers below who were so much quicker and sharper to the ball than us with more desire to play fast flowing football. The positives I was clutching at straws with was that the pitch looks to be looking fairly decent finally from the photos I've seen, however guess we will see from the friendlies ourselves.
There may be someone decent football played on it finally, you never know!
Small positives I know but we can only but keep the faith!
