This week has been the time to remember the Munich Air Disaster. Our Club Chairman, Colin Brookes, was at Man United for a few months before that tragedy and knew the Busby Babes. He'd played in the same England Schoolboys team as Nobby Stiles and later was in an England Youth squad that included 1966 World Cup Skipper Bobby Moore.
After Man Utd, Colin played for his hometown Barnsley and then West Brom.

The previous item on Colin Brookes brought a comment there's a photo of his goal in that Schoolboys Wembley International - here it is.
Colin also recalls when he played for Barnsley Youths they drew Villa in FA Youth Cup, after 0-0 draw at Oakwell they lost the replay 9-0 at Villa Park. Facing Colin at right back for the Villa was Yeltz Wembley Era Manager Paddy Page
