Ok, so the first in a probably never-ending series.
Needing to know the result of a match in the dim-and-distant is a regular fixture (ho ho) so I've set up a thread where we can challenge the Laurel Lane Legend.
First off, I got this mug for Christmas.
Ignoring the unusual nature of a 6:30 kick off on a Saturday, what was the score LLL?

Could have been Robin Whetnall hat trick on debut

Done in under 5 minutes.
*applauds*
My wife asked me if I would ever drink from the mug again if we had lost - I said that I honestly wasn't sure.
Very glad that it was a win though. Not sure if I could drink anything from a "Rocester (at Leek) Mug".

Where do you even get a mug like that from?

6.30 Sat k.o. - could be cricket was still played on Grove so match had to start after cricket finished?

My parents claim to have bought it here -

If I'm to be completely honest, they bought it as a gift for my son. It's just pure coincidence that he's never drunk from it and that I use it every time I have a hot drink.

The programme notes show there was a cricket background to this match (anyone remember the Silver Dragon Chinese where Argos is now?):

Although I'm thoroughly impressed, nobody has asked me about hardcore jungle/drum & bass 1993-1995 vinyl catalogue numbers, nor given me my own thread with a witty title
Chas = Legend. See you Saturday mate
