So Hednesford's excellent run in 2011 didn't quite last the distance. After the entertaining semi against Oogi's Leamington last Thursday night, the 1st 90 minutes this afternoon were very ordinary and Hednesford were fortunate not to be behind at half-time. Extra -time was a little more lively and both sides scored their second goal to take the tie to penalties. Although Salisbury were first to miss, they retrieved the situation to return to Conference football.
Good to see competitive Southern League football again......
