Floodlights

Post by lutleyyeltz » 14 Nov 2012, 09:27

It seems that at least four lamps are blown in the floodlighting system. I suggest that this be addressed as soon as possible. Although the illumination is still adequate for the level that we are at, if any more go out we could be in the embarrassing position of having a referee report this to the FA.

we are looking for supporters who would sponsor a replacement lamp at a cost of £300 each, so if anyone is interested please get in touch and once we have the required amount we can get the contractor in
to fit them (at around £400-£500 for the day..the costs just mount up, its not just about paying players!)
3 bulbs have already been sponsored and all who help will have their name featured in the programmes

If 'whatisname' is being charged £400-500 per day just to change a few lamps then I think he should contact Matt Allwright at BBC Rogue Traders . I think I can better labour costs and lamp charges.

I'm afraid that the work involved "to change a few lamps" is a little more involved than it may seem! ???

I think we need to remember that KenR's lamp knowledge started in Laurel Lane, as did mine in a different way :D

Without disclosing inside knowledge - it ain't a matter of standing on a ladder with a bulb in your hand. ::)

Again, without disclosing inside knowledge, is the hydraulic hoist thingy fully functional? I know it had some unscheduled maintenance of its own in the latter days of the the I****m era

The "uppy-downy" hydraulic doodah was de-commissioned in the dark days and was removed from its normal home. Whether it is back in the confines of The Grove - I don't know.

I don't mind being referred to as Lord Lutley but Reverend is going to far - I'm not one of those that belong to the "mumbo-jumbo" brigade.
