thought everyone would like to know about the success of the golden goal in raising money
that goes towards the players budget. (total figures for aug/sept/oct , 12 matches)
-sold 951
-paid out £260 in prize money
- £501 straight to the club (ave £41.75 per match)
although with 50/50 the prize money would have been more (ie £475.50 = 50%, ave. £39 per game) the
club would have only recieved £190 (ave 15.80 per match)
so the golden goal has resulted in an increase of £311 to the club up to end of oct.
although a few people would want a bigger prize, im sure supporters (and John Hill!) would like the team to have more funds to take the team forward and buy golden goal tickets mainly to help the club (although someone will still take away a nice £20 prize..or spend it in club shop?!)
thanks to everyone for their support in making it such a success
