Wearing last season's kit in cup games?

Noticed at least twice this season Yeltz are playing in last year's kit in cup games.
It's not the end of the world but it looks cack, and if I'm paying some of my hard-earned to shell out for this season's clobber, I expect the team to play in it too.

Anyone shed any light on this?

We've not had a new away kit this year.

I think on the other occasion the kit was still in the bus after what happened on the motorway. Not sure though.

Sometimes it depends on having enough time to wash it before a midweek game etc.. ;)

he`s right..because the away kit was used so few times it was a waste of money to buy new (same fantastic sponsor anyway!) this years home kit wasnt chosen by the same person as last years..hence, not `cack`!

This is out of context here, think I should put the record straight: I just briefly thought that the fans wearing the new kit on the terraces looks bad if the team are playing in an 'old' kit.

Not saying either kit is cack, per se .

So am I right in thinking that there is not much call for a new away kit due to a non-clash of colours with other teams?

I'd also like to discuss how the kit is chosen, by whom and what process. I may be nosey (or inquisitive as I prefer to say ;D ) but if a club like Birmingham City amongst others can get their fans to vote on a kit, is there a financial/commercial reason why Yeltz can't?

Not being pinickity, just trying to generate some natter on zee forum O0

I've been informed by t'club shop there are several factors in choosing a new kit:

Less white, therefore easier to wash
Experience of t'club shop staff who know what the fans want after talking to them

The idea of voting is also a good one, but it wouldn't work online with a smaller club like Yeltz.

Right, that's me satisfied.

End of thread...
