Racing Club Warwick 2 v 1 Halesowen Town
In Racing Club Warwicks last Youth game this season, it was apparent from the start that they wanted to go out with a win. On a pitch only passed fit during the day Halesowen managed the first goal on 19mins scored by Rhys Brade. But things started to get worse (even the bog of a pitch) tackles were flying in which resulted in several scuffles & to top it Racing Club equalised after 37 mins. The Halesowen defence having been caught upfield & unable to turn on the bog of a pitch. 2 subs were made just before HT Martyn for Spenc & Jean-Michel for Josh. The second half was all one way traffic with Halesowen having 28 shots on goal & not converting one, The Racing Club defence throwing themselves all over the place to keep the ball out. Halesowen were punished in the 63min when the only breakaway in the 2nd half for Racing Club ended with the ball in Halesowens net, but this did not stop the lads from trying even harder. Rhys got booked out of frustration at things not going right. But it was not to be & Halesowen lost their 2nd game in the league this season.
Their manager summed it up after the game by saying " We had all the luck for a season in one game " That says it all.
