Don't like them. Looks like someone has been let loose on an AI program but doesn't know how to use it properly.

That may have been Andy ;D . In fairness I wasnt over keen on the fans name shirts. It would have been nice to replicate the Hardanger shirts.

That said, I suspect theyll grow on me, and seem to be liked on Facebook. It seems to be a current trend, shirts having patterns in the colour

For me they're a big improvement over the shirts with fans names on (there's a few names in there I refuse to wear haha) but would be nice to see the back before committing.

Even the excellent looking Away one might become questionable if it says DuctBuster right above my backside.

It's just the usual thing I don't like on it. Still it's saved me a fair few quid over the last few years....

Hopefully they do a special again. I dont think youre ever going to get your wish mate. Its too embedded now. Like the look of the 3rd shirt on the site though

Shame really, as I like the away shirt.

Socks are badge free. I probably will.

True, and not the fault of the Keith / Karen - they were put in a difficult position, as to pander to the traditionalists would have cost a load of money.
I don't actually mind the new badge. The old one, and remember that it had only been around since the late eighties, was always too "bitty" IMO, and whilst it was an attempt at a truer replication of the church, I never thought that it was a very good one.
The "new" one has, again, in my purely aesthetic opinion, gone too far the other way, and whilst simple, is too clip-art-generic, to the point that someone else locally had exactly the same design.
But those are just design critiques, and anyone who works in marketing will know that if you show a design to two people, you'll get three conflicting opinions about it....

The issue with me, and I suspect others, was the arrogant way that it was done by the then regime, who just changed it without wider consultation. And whilst on some level, it's irrelevant, and they could do whatever they wanted as they signed (most of) the cheques, it's one of the petty things that otherwise reasonable supporters get upset over.
The lack of our involvement was seen as indicative of the owners' attitude towards the fanbase.

And I do remember that there was a vote on changing it early in Karen's ownership, which was a, perhaps convenient, draw, but that's not quite the same. I'm sure many were just happy with a status quo, especially taking into account the financial outlay of changing.

There'll be a rebrand at some stage, as there always is, and hopefully the wider stakeholders will be consulted. And then, if I still don't like it, "Vox Populi, Vox Dei", which I believe is Latin for "yow'll have to lump it".
