Despite a disastrous Christmas other results have handed us a get out of jail card … let’s hope we can use it

On balance this is a poor step 3 league. I have seen better step 4 leagues over the years.

Not sure if it’s poor or simply more competitive. In previous years there were usually 4 or 5 teams where you could almost rely on 6 points … that certainly isn’t the case this year.

It certainly makes this season exciting for us and seems that literally half of the division could still go up.
You do feel though that whoever the lucky teams are will have to do some serious recruiting before next season to be competitive in a higher division.
I do feel that how great it would be to go up that we really need a couple more seasons at this level to really get our squad ready for the national north.

I agree John. We have put in some howlers, but that said some of the lower teams we have played have looked really good. I think it is there for any team that can put in a consistent run to blow the rest away, but I'm not sure it will happen. As you say, competition from every quarter.
