We move on and upwards

I am seeing a debate on which league we will be in next season, the northern league for the southern league central. Based on obvious geographical sense once all promotions and relegations are confirmed surely the structure will be adjusted to allow us to play in same league as Stourbr*dge, Bromsgrove, redditch, alvechurch etc etc????

Well let's have a look now the dust has settled a bit.

Dropping into step 3 we have Kettering, Leamington, Bradford PA, Telford, Hungerford, Cheshunt, Concord, and Dulwich.

Climbing into step 3 we have us, Stamford, Long Eaton, Worksop, Macclesfield, Workington, Berkhamsted, possibly Didcot, Totton, possibly Sholing, and then I'm going to ignore the Isthmian leagues.

There are six spaces in the Southern Premier Central, then.

You'd assume those teams would be Kettering, Telford, Leamington, us, Stamford and then one of Berkhamsted or Didcot or Ware.

All that said, it's such a Byzantine process nothing would surprise me here!

It could be something like this:

Alvechurch
Barwell
Basford United
Bromsgrove Sporting
Coalville Town
Hitchin Town
Ilkeston Town
Kettering Town
Leiston
Mickleover Sports
Needham Market
Redditch United
Royston Town
Rushall Olympic (or Nuneaton)
St. Ives Town
Stourbr*dge
Stratford Town
AFC Telford United
Leamington
Halesowen Town
Stamford
AFC Sudbury

That seems reasonable we meet these teams, however in the E Midlands I suspect Ilkeston, Basford, Mickleover AND Long Eaton (& potentially Worksop) would want to be together. It may be easier to work out who the 22 most northern ones are & work from there

We don't have to visit Corby which is great. We also won't be going to Gresley, which isn't - for me anyway ;)

This guy is pretty much always right.

And currently he says Southern Prem Central. It was never going to be anything else really.

Nice return to Hitchin Town on the cards to see if we can find those bits of Westy’s face.
