With Spalding winning at Stamford tonight with a last minute goal, it now means that should we be unsuccessful in our last two matches and Spalding win their last two, we would finish in third place . This means that if we win our play off semi, we could potentially face an away trip to Spalding in the final, where we have already been thrashed this season. It emphasises just how important our home defeats against Boldmere, Shepshed and Sutton were, indeed the inept displays could have cost us the title.

I've got no probs with it. If our lot were doing it I'd laugh my socks off. We DID f*ck it up and hand them the title after all. Now we knuckle down, give them the applause they deserve, and give everything to win these play offs!

I don't even care about that. We've always got on well with Stamford and nothing will change. It's all about us now. If we can win today I'll settle for a weakened team next week and take a loss. It will already be job done play offs wise and as many rested legs for Tuesday will be of benefit to us. Today is big though.

You're right. Coming second is the only thing that matters now. I've a nasty feeling it will go to the last day though, so anything that motivates the team for that is good (even if it's just a video of a half-cut Stamford celebrating winning the league)!
